September is a dedicated time to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia across Ireland.
Our dementia teams across Dublin, Limerick and North Tipperary/Offaly, play a significant role in assisting the people we support, to live a life of their choosing throughout the continuum of dementia and intellectual disabilities.
To mark the month, supported individuals and staff took to their local parks, and joined in the national The Alzheimer Society of Ireland #MemoryWalk2024. Our nursing team also took part in a virtual dementia tour that helped them to gain a better understanding of the personal experience of a person living with dementia.
